Vidar Christensen's 1302S

Vidar Christensen entered the 2004 London to Sydney rally in a Peugeot 306 S-16:

But he has decided that, for 2005, he'll be entering the Historic class.  The car he's working on has no rust - the body is almost like new!

All the bits that Vidar has collected for the new engine - all new parts: new engine case with 69 mm forged crank and flywheel, racing rods, Mahle forged 85.5 mm piston , Engle camshaft, Scat lifters, CB 044 performance heads, 1:1,25 performance rocker arms and shaft, 4-gear dry sump pump, 44 Weber IDF carburetors, Bosch 009 distributor.

The engine partly assembled

The transmission: from VW 181/2 'Thing' or 'Trekker' army type with HD case and original ZF LSD with 75% locking, American close ratio gear kit with hand-packed needle bearings on all 4 gears and welded 3rd and 4th gear hub, VW type 2 drive shafts and joints

The original ZF limited-slip differential
