Pictures from the top: Paul Schwarz - he was responsible for the engine layout and camshaft design (wish I could have his information now!). The gear cutting department - during the 1971 season, all the transmission gears were custom-cut in-house for the 4-speed gearbox. This was to meet the special ratio requirements. The 5-speed gearbox from the VW-Porsche 914/4 was not homologated until 1972 - from that point, all the ratios required were available off-the-shelf from Porsche. Günther Janger, Gerhard Strasser (Racing department manager) and Dr. Georg Fischer (1971 Austrian Rally Champion) looking at a damaged front wing - caused by Janger's driving style.
