Rolf Blaschke's 1966 1500
Rolf Blaschke has rallied this August '66 1500 since 1972 - it was his first rally car.

Originally a first-year 1500cc Beetle, he has bored the engine out to 1600cc, and he rallies it in the Historic Rallye Cup in Germany. His overall results have been:
2003: 3rd Overall
2004: 5th Overall
2005: 3rd Overall
2006: 13th Overall
2010: 3rd Overall
Rolf had an "interesting" time over the weekend of 4th/5th March 2006:
SS1: Crashed into the chicane because right wheels hit snow while braking
SS3: Span twice on damned ice
SS4: Touched hard on a snow-wall, which was rather hard
SS6: (in darkness, snowing again) gave the Mitusbishis and BMWs in front and behind me about 20 seconds..... conditions were good for air-coolers......
But now I have a lot of work to get "Karlchen" ready till 1st April (2nd run).
