David Scharf's 1970

David Scharf bought this car in March 2005, and prepared it to the P2 class for 1400-1600cc cars in the Australian Production Rally Car championship, for forest rallies.

It is a 12v swing-axle car, with a 1600cc engine (heavily ported 39/35 heads and twin 44 IDF carbs) and a limited-slip differential.

He set the car up early in preparation for the 2007 re-run of the Southern Cross Rally, celebrating 40 years since Barry Ferguson's win.
