David Dias' 1500 Beetle from Portugal
David Dias has been in touch from Portugal with information on the 1500 Beetle that he is using in Portuguese rallying.
The Rally Histórico de Portugal begin in Braga on 3rd October 2007, at the Circuit Vasco Sameiro, where the initial scrutineering happened and regularity test on the circuit, the only one of the inaugural stage, finishing in Póvoa de Varzim.
In the three following stages (Póvoa de Varzim/Espinho, Espinho/Viseu and Viseu/Estoril), they ran almost 600 km of regularity tests, in large chunks of stages that were used in the last editions of the TAP - Rally of Portugal and the Rally of Portugal - Port Winne, finishing with the nocturnal double run on the incomparable chunks of the Mountain of Sintra.
