Advert promoting the GT Beetle in Austria (no relation to the UK GT Beetle). This special edition was only available from the Salzburg dealership.
The car only came in Silver, with black bonnet and engine lid, with the Austrian racing stripes of narrow red on broad white. Both doors and rear quarter panels carried the VW GT logo and chequered flag.
The 'GT' engine comprised modified heads and ports, with higher compression and dual carbs, upping the power output to 65hp DIN.
