The car was running in Group 1 - that means it is standard apart from a balanced and blueprinted engine, Koni shock absorbers and Taper Tip exhaust pipes 

It had a full sumpguard, 4 Cibie spotlamps and Cibi Biode headlights 

It finished 104th from a 236 starting number It would have been higher,  apparently the special stages in some forests had not been ploughed and cars in front got stuck holding up the Beetle on some special stages.
